| Objective | Tuna fishing is developing in New Caledonia and the HYDROTHON cruises are aimed at describing the main water masses present, the currents that drive them, and the various aspects related to their productivity, in order to better understand the seasonal movements of fishing grounds. This cruise studies more particularly the circulation between the surface and -500 m within 200 miles of New Caledonia, and in a southern summer situation. |
