Objective This cruise is the last in a series that began in 1972 and whose aim is to describe the life forms that populate the abyssal plain of the Bay of Biscay. The BIOGAS XI cruise focused more particularly on intensive sampling of the benthic and epibenthic fauna at two stations located at 4700 and 4300 m depth.
