Objective Collect a set of cores in the North Atlantic Ocean, in the Bay of Biscay and along the coast of Portugal, in order to trace the paleoclimatology of this area during the last climatic cycle. Coupling the coring stations with hydrological stations and plankton samples in order to have a current reference. In addition to the conventional measurements of temperature and salinity, fine measurements of the various components of dissolved carbon dioxide should be taken. This exploratory study will make it possible to measure the diffusion of dissolved CO2 in the North Atlantic deep waters of the Mediterranean.
