Objective Studying the influence of Rhone river inputs in the coastal zone and the Rhone prodelta. The time of stay of fine sediments carried by the Rhone in the prodelta zone was estimated, insofar as trace contaminants are particularly associated with the finest material. The redistributions/translocation of masses and of related contaminants in response to storms and floods were specified.
