Objective | The RetroB mission's aim was to collect benthic macrofauna samples (quantitative grab sampler and beam trawl) and fish (beam trawl)in order to: - Update (with respect to the 1985 situation) knowledge about benthic populations in maximum extent of the nursery; - Define the food web structure of the benthic-dermersal community in the Bay of Vilaine by studying the combination of the benthos / benthic-demersal fish; -Contribute to drawing up relevant indicators for quality or functioning for the bay's nursery. This mission falls within the habitats and tropic dynamics orientation of the fisheries ecology laboratory. It is related to the AMPHORE project (ANR Biodiversity) steered by the IRD in Brest and the ISOBENT project (ECO2CO-PNEC, MED) steered by the IUEM in Brest. |
