Objective Assessing anchovy and sardine biomasses in the Bay of Biscay using acoustics and associated pelagic trawl hauls. Characterization of habitats' hydro-biological environment. Initial data was acquired using the PELGAS configuration with the multibeam fisheries echosounder (SMFH). The cruise was conducted in the framework of Theme 4 ¿ Fisheries resources, sustainable fishing and enhanced use and the programmes on Information systems, observation techniques, economics and diagnosis for fishing and changes in resources and their use, and Ecosystem approach to integrated management of fisheries resources
