Objective The aim of the MALISAR3 cruise was to take microbathymetric surveys using the EM2000 echosounder mounted on the AUV. These surveys could not be done during MALISAR2. The main targets were (1) the epicentral zone of the 2001 quake, where a fault was identified based on the EM300 bathymetric data, (2) the continental slope off Cap Ferrat to observe gravity deformations related to the slow slipping of the sedimentary cover and (3) the continental slope off to analyze landslide scars related to recent slides. The related project is 'Action Marges'.
