Objective	Study of the relationships between deep-sea benthic fauna and metal concentrations. This study is divided into two parts: geology (study of sedimentary environments, evolution of oceanic environments in the past, various samples) and biology (inventory of deep-sea benthic fauna, deep-sea settlement and sedimentary environment, relationships between physical properties, mineralogical composition of sediments and associated fauna, physiology and metabolism of macrofauna, heavy metal pollution).
