Objective The origin and structural evolution of the Walvis Ride, a typical example of a seismic ride, is the primary objective of this cruise. The second objective is to assist in the identification of sites for future IPOD boreholes along a radial Cape Town Basin - Walvis Ride - Angola Basin. The major part of the cruise is based on the intensive and joint use of the multibeam echosounder "SEABEAM", the side-scanning echosounder "GLORIA" and/or the seismic reflection.
