Objective The BIOVEMA cruise had a double objective: to determine the role of the VEMA fracture (11N, Atlantic Ocean) in West-East faunal exchanges in abyssal communities of the tropical Atlantic, to specify the spatial distribution of organisms at depth on a reduced scale (micro-distribution model) using repeated sampling.
