Objective This cruise is part of the FROMVAR project to study the physical structure (in terms of the hydrology and current measurements) of the Ushant tidal front. During it a mooring (300 kHz RDI Doppler profiler on a frame) was recovered and a CTD array set up on the zone (4 East-West legs between 48.1°N and 48.2°N, 5.1°W and 5.5°W). This campaign was coupled from 15/09/2007 with the teaching M2OCPHYS campaign. During this second campaign, additional samples were collected. This falls under the FROMVAR project.
