Objective | Lagrangian monitoring and determining the natural SF6 concentration was done for the LATEX programme. This short (3 day) cruise at sea was done to test our ability to perform real-time Lagrangian navigation using software developed at LOB (J.-L. Fuda and G. Rougier). Advantage was taken of this operation to run a determination of natural concentrations of sulphur hexafluoride (SF6) in surface water in order to ensure that the correct amount of tracer was added during the LATEX with SF6 salting out. We also deployed two Lagrangian buoys for our Ifremer colleagues (P. Garreau). |
