Objective The objective was to conduct a technological cruise to demonstrate the possibility of deploying the Raman spectrometer from coastal and deep water profiling floats. For coastal areas, it was a question of validating the coupling on a broadband transmission system using an electro-optical modem fitted on the shared mobile winch (TMC). For deepwater zones, the same experiment was run on a standard CTD cable with the SeaBird modem used during the Serpentine cruise. The second goal was to validate the Raman measurements using the SERS technique with substrates prepared by the ERT/IC service. The related programme is PG E010305 RAMSES.
