| Objective | The qualification of new equipment in its operational configuration was a vital step in preparing the ERIG3D cruise (Spring 2008). The ESSED cruise aimed to conduct acceptance testing and qualification trials on the sub-bottom profiler for the AUV IDEFx. The cruise was part of the procedure to transfer the AUV2 from IFREMER and in that of AUV IDEFx to GENAVIR. The related project is Coastal AUVs (phase 1) PJA0103. The cruise took place in 3 working zones: Zone 1: Marseille (43°19' N; 5°15' E // 43°17' N; 5°19' E and 43° 11' N; 5°18' E // 43°08' N; 5°26' E). Zone 2: Saint-Tropez (43°18' N; 6° 49' E // 43°9' N; 6°43' E). Zone 3: Nice airport (43°38' N; 7°11' E // 43°34' N; 7°18' E). |
