Objectif Un système de mesures a été mis en place à partir de l'automne 2006 pour permettre de réaliser un suivi fin du système sédimentaire et du forçage par les courants et les houles afin de caractériser la réponse de ce système aux crues et aux tempêtes. Notre dispositif expérimental est basé sur le suivi en continu sur une période de 6 mois de paramètres clés (apports du fleuve, courants, turbidité, niveau sédimentaire). Lors de cette campagne les paramètres ont été suivis en temps réel et l'instrumentation sera relevée à la fin de cette période. En outre durant cette campagne des carottages seront effectués afin de tracer les apports continentaux dans cette zone en utilisant des marqueurs comme les radionucléides naturels (210Pb, 7Be ...) et artificiels (137Cs, 239+240Pu,...). Classiquement utilisés pour quantifier les processus de sédimentation ils seront également utilisés pour étudier les phénomènes de translocation des sédiments apportés par le Rhône dans le Golfe du Lion. Le projet de rattachement est CARMA.
