Objective The cruise objectives were: 1/Leg 1: to test a trawl door concept which could autonomously reduce its laying on the seabed and thus its impacts when the shoe gets close to the bottom. 2/Legs 2 and 3: measure the drag (at different speeds and for different soundings) of a professional trawl used as a reference in a study to reduce fuel consumption in the Breton trawling fleet (leg 2). A new trawl with low drag was then tested for comparison purposes (leg 3). For these two types of trials, the EROC towed video system was used to observe and check that the different equipment was correctly adjusted. The drag measurements were made using force sensors and the SCANMAR log giving the speed at the trawl level. From the 4 to 18 September (one day lost on the 3rd due to engine problems). This falls under the GUAPA/regional OPTIPECHE programme.
