Summary of measurements |
- -1st mooring: instrument: 300 kHz ADCP (volume 2m3, weight 250 kg), position: 5°23.31' W, 48°6.50' N (Zonex B2), sounding: 100 m, mooring was positioned using acoustic triangulation, length of time 45 min.
-2nd mooring: instrument: inverted echosounder (weight 120 kg, volume 1m3), position: 8°30' W, 47°30' N (Zonex 44C), sounding: 2,000 m, arrival in zone, instrument deployed and acoustic triangulation, length of time 45 min. -2nd mooring: the instrument's good operability was checked using acoustic telemetry (requiring that an acoustic base be lowered over the side), length of time 30 min. -EXTREME project trials: Tests were run on the various telecommunication services available on board (IP telephony, analog telephony, video-conferencing, video coding and broadcasting, etc.) in terms of operability and quality of service. -Test on the sub-bottom profiler's data acquisition software: the new sub-bottom profiler data acquisition software was testing during transits and along specific profiles for the different depths and acquisition speeds. -The EA 600 - 12 kHz single beam echosounder was working in order to recover the sounding value during the trials. -ADCP acquisitions: Continuous data was acquired from the Pourquoi pas? vessel's 2 ADCPs during the cruise.
