Objective In the framework of the FORCLIM programme (ANR 2006-2008 funding), the objective is to develop an eco-physiological model predicting the production fluxes of some planktonic foraminifera species which are representative of the main ecological systems, as well as their habitat (depth, seasonality), based on climate forcing. The eco-physiological and geochemical/isotopic parametrizations must be determined using the data obtained thanks to the research cruises. The data acquired from opening-closing nets and sediment traps will enable the assessment of fluxes exported by different foraminifera species and the acquisition of the isotopic and geochemical signals depending on the depth of their habitat and their period of development. The related project is ANR FORCLIM (coordinator L. Labeyrie, LSCE).
