Objective | The following processes were mainly focused on instabilities of the Northern current in the form of meanders, forking and sub-mesoscale eddies along the edge of the shelf. These can be due to bathymetric, baroclinic or atmospheric effects showing a seasonal and inter-annual variability most likely linked to the intensity, temperature and depth of the Northern current and as a function of the wind, rainfall, and thermocline depth statistics. This falls under the COLARGOL / PATOM project. |
