Objective The objective of the DYFAMED observation service is to build long time series of internationally defined basic hydrological and biogeochemical or JGOFS "core" parameters in the Ligurian Sea, in order to understand long-term variations in carbon-cycle related processes, and more generally to study the ocean's response to anthropogenic and climate perturbations in the North-western Mediterranean Basin. Website: http://www.obs-vlfr.fr/sodyf The DYFAMED observation service received the INSU label in 1995. The following dates were days at sea: from 6 to 8 February, 5 to 7 March, 30 March to 2 April, 5 to 8 May, 8 to 10 June, 1 to 4 July, 31 July to 2 August, 10 to 12 September, 15 to 17 October, 1 to 5 November and 11 to 13 December.
