Objective | The GRAVILUCK cruise's main aim was to set up a geodesic network to measure vertical deformations on the axis of the Mid-Atlantic Ridge, in the framework of the MoMAR (Monitoring of the Mid-Atlantic Ridge) study. Gravimetry and pressure were measured on the network materialized by permanently installed markers on the seabed. In parallel, a Nautile daytime program devoted to gravimetry and geodesics and a program run at night, 50% of which dealt with physical oceanographic measurements of turbulent mixing phenomena related to the relief of the ridge's axis and the other 50% with observations and geological samples taken using the Towcam (towed camera used in association with 1 magnetometer and a sampler). |
