Objectif Biodiversité du macrophytobenthos (Algues et phanérogames marines) et des principaux groupes zoologiques (Eponges, Ascidies, Echinodermes) dans les formations coralliennes des îles Loyauté, du récif Durand au Sud et de l'Astrolabe au Nord de l'archipel. Pharmaco-chimie : recherche de substances marines actives dans les Eponges, Ascidies en complément des missions précédentes dans la zone. Cette campagne est rattachée aux programmes 'Biodiversité des faunes et flores tropicales marines (IRD-UMR 7138 "Systématique, Adaptation, Evolution") et Pharmacochimie (IRD -UMR152)'. Remarques sur le déroulement de la campagne : Accès aux sites d'étude : aucune difficulté. Démarches préalables effectuées par le Service des Pêches de la Province des Iles Loyauté de Nouvelle-Calédonie, auprès de tous les chefs de Tribus riverains des zones étudiées. Embarcation (annexe de L'ALIS) : les qualités marines se sont montrées limites pour embarquer quatre plongeurs, le surveillant de surface et le pilote d'embarcation (cf. réglementation) et garantir la sécurité lors du transfert sur les sites d'études.
