Objective The coastal benthic biocenoses monitoring network's strategy, defined in the REBENT programme, planned to set up long-term monitoring of biodiversity in some high priority biocenoses. The REBENT6 cruise's main objective was to define the precise location of some infralittoral biocenoses in soft substrates in southern and northern Brittany and to characterize their nearby environment. The Glénan archipelago, the bay of Audierne and the l'Aber Wrac'h to l'Aber Benoît area were the sites studied. Facilities deployed (mainly acoustics, sediment sampling and submarine video) provided morphosedimentary surface data to better apprise possible issues of heterogeneity in the habitat distribution.
