| Objective | PECOS contributes to analyzing, understanding and forecasting the state of coastal fisheries resources of the Bay of Biscay by carrying out a diagnosis of the composition of fisheries populations on a scale of a quarter of a century (from the late 1970s to the first decade of the 21st century). In additiona, in the framework of a study supported by the Pays de la Loire region, three days were devoted to analyzing the resources on a facies with Haploops tubicola, an area extending over more than 100 km2 in the Mor Braz. The objective is to describe the fisheries populations in this habitat. The related programmes are: Ecosystem approach for fisheries (DEMOSTEM) and coastal and estuarine ecosystem dynamics (DYSCO). |
