- -153 standardized daytime bottom trawl hauls (143 of which were valid), lasting 30 min. after the geometric parameters of the GOV 36/47 trawl were stabilized, in 27 geographical-bathymetric strata, on seabeds
from 15 to 600m. -146 vertical temperature and salinity profiles taken using the Seabird 19 CTD on the bottom trawl positions. Data were transmitted to CORIOLIS during the cruise. - With each trawl haul: -determination, weighing and measuring of each species caught; sex determination for main commercial species, hard tissue (otholith, illicia, etc.) samples taken for age assessments, flesh samples taken in various species and sizes to measure stable isotopes, examination of various commercial species for parasites, new biological parameters were acquired for various species. -Acceptance trials for ME 70 multibeam echosounder by NSE/ILE/Brest and SIMRAD. The acceptance was not signed off and new trials will take place in early 2006. -The SAFETRANS/FIM and MSEM systems set up aboard R/V Thalassa were studied exenstively thanks to the presence on board of an engineer from the RED/HO department in the framework of the prISM project. This involved recording the ship's attitude and local weather parameters to compare them with satellite data received. The test aimed to i) give Genavir users a demonstration of the system, ii) assess the interest of preliminary updating of forecasts made by satellite observations. -The Hermes software developed by Ifremer (subcontracted to Ipsis - Rennes) was validated. This tool can remotely configure scientific fisheries sounders, acquire and access data in HAC format.
