Objective The PELGAS scientific cruise aims to assess the biomass of anchovies and sardines in the Bay of Biscay using acoustic methods and pelagic trawls and characterize the hydrobiological environment of their habitats. It falls under the FOREVAR (Ifremer) research program and the collection of data required to conduct the EU's common fisheries policy.
