Objectif Reconnaissance morphologique, sismique et sédimentologique d'un canyon. Reconnaissance de la zone de canyon sur la marge sud portugaise. Reconnaissance des instabilités sous-marine et des éventuelles zones de sortie de fluides profonds dans cette zone. Reconnaissance des structures et constructions sédimentaires mises en place par l'interaction entre le courant de fond sortant de Méditerranée appelé veine d'eau méditerranéenne et les écoulements gravitaires perpendiculaires à la marge et empruntant les canyons sous-marins. Sédimentologie et structure de lobes sableux. Variations temporelles de l'activité de la veine d'eau sous l'influence des changements climatiques durant le Quaternaire. Reconnaissance des traces paléosismiques dans les carottages. Exploration of the canyon zone on the south Portuguese margin. Exploration of submarine instabilities and possible deep-sea fluid discharge areas in the zone.
