Objective | Building up time series of abundance indices for the main demersal and benthic species in the Celtic Sea and the Bay of Biscay. Measuring inter-annual changes in their recruitment. Mapping spatial distributions of the species and their inter-annual variations, as well as looking for the origin of this variability (biotic and/or abiotic parameters, fisheries impact). Intercalibration of R/Vs Thalassa/Celtic Voyager (IRL) in the framework of the EEC IPROSTS project. The related project is called Assessment of EC-managed fisheries and non-EC fisheries, Fishery ecosystems and the Fishery information system. The cruise covered the following geographic zones: Bay of Biscay, Bristol Channel, Irish Sea and Saint George's Channel. |
