Objective Mission to characterize the chemistry, bacteriology and physics in the south-western New Caledonian lagoon surrounding the town of Noumea at the start of the cool season. Characterizing the physical-chemical distribution in the lagoon's waters. Determining the distribution of dissolved metal concentrations. Characterizing spatial variability of bacterial production. Characterizing spatial variability of metal contamination in zooplankton. Quantifying temporal variability of bacterial processes (productivity and abundance).
