Objective The strategy of the coastal benthic biocenosis monitoring of the REBENT program requires regular surveys of the biodiversity of specific biocenoses considered as a priority. The purposes of the REBENT 1 survey were to locate some infralittoral biocenoses on loose grounds (fine sands and maerl) in South Britany (NW France) and to characterize their local environment. (Quiberon and Concarneau bays and Glenans archipelago). The results include sidescan sonar, multibeam bathymetry and backscattered data, samples and videos.
