| Objective | The MOBIDYC3 cruise was a vibro-sounding survey whose main objective was to correlate the sedimentary bodies highlighted during our previous marine seismics missions (MOBIDYC1- 2000, MOBIDYC2- 2001, SIFADO-1999, NOMADES-2000 and DSIRe-2001), with the sedimentary facies. The Pertuis Charentais, segments of sharply incut, drowned valleys, was the area studied. Two types of sedimentary bodies were sounded during the MOBIDYC3 survey: (1) Those whose shape let us think that they are recordings of the periods of the lowest sea levels (markers from the last transgressive interval); and (2) active sedimentary bodies (sand banks, ripples, or clayey-silty cover) which record the present dynamics. |
