Objectif Étude de l'ichtyo- et la teuthofaune mésopélagique sur la radiale Kerguelen Saint-Paul en traversant les fronts hydrologiques successifs (front polaire antarctique, front subantarctique et front subtropical) à des profondeurs (0 à 400 m) et des horaires standardisés pour s'affranchir des migrations nycthémérales des espèces. Abondance des espèces et comparaison avec la zone du front polaire antarctique faisant l'objet d'un programme tri-annuel (ICHTYOKER 1998-2000). Programme d'étude interactions prédateurs-proies en zone australe. Espèces prédatrices : manchots et otaries. Espèces proies : poissons-lanternes de la famille des Myctophidae et calmars. Identification précise des structures calcifiées (otolithes de poissons) et cornées (becs de calmars). Le programme de rattachement est ICHTYOKER (programme IFRTP 1998-2000 à Kerguelen).
