Objective Acquisition of very high resolution seismic data (VHR seismics in asynchronous mode; sediment sounder; sparker). Bathymetric data acquisition (multibeam echosounder). Samples collected by dredging around the island of Tahiti, in order to: - determine the thickness and shape of the postglacial reef series and previous carbonated sequences, - make a chronostratigraphic canvas based on dating of dredged samples; - identify discontinuities in reef sequences; - assess the way the transition between the outer reef slope and the deeper environments located at the foot of the slope took place; - determine the morphology of the volcanic substrate and insofar as possible map the isopachs of the main reflectors. The related programmes are: Integrated Ocean Drilling Program (IODP), UR 055 Paleotropics research themes (IRD), UMR 6635 CEREGE research themes. Comments on the cruise's progression: The mission was shortened by a day and a half. Departure two and a half days late, due to a problem with a valve onboard ship. Returned one day later than scheduled. However, the entire initially planned programme was achieved.
