Objective The GASPROD survey falls under the framework of the PNEC Bay of Biscay programme. It was devoted to studying the hydrological, nutritional and plankton structure in the northern part of the Bay, under the influence of the Loire's outflow in springtime and assessing flows of nutrient (C, N, P, Si) assimilation and regeneration on a salinity gradient from the mouth of the Loire to the edge of the continental shelf.
