Objective

The MELANGE_ROEC 2021 cruise is part of four Shom projects:

  • the DYNSEDIM campaigns, which aim to acquire the input data necessary for modelling the dynamics of sediment flows;
  • the BOOTS project, which aims to obtain real-time oceanographic knowledge of the water column from buoys;
  • the MAMBO campaigns, which contribute to national noise monitoring using acoustic moorings;
  • the MELANGE project, which contributes to the direct observation, at high spatial resolution, of peak intensities of suspended matter flows in the ocean.

This cruise involved the launch and recovery of oceanographic and acoustic mooring lines, the deployment of a glider, the production of bathysonde radials and an SMF survey.
