Objective

NourManche 22 is the third edition of the NourManche cruises serie, which brings together under a single umbrella the monitoring of all the fish nursery areas of the French Channel coasts. It was carried out aboard the RV "Côtes de la Manche", from the beginning of September to the beginning of October in two legs. A total of 103 beam trawl tows were carried out in three sectors: the bays of Canche and Authie, the bay of eastern Seine and the Seine estuary, and the bay of Mont Saint-Michel.

The data collected (abundance, biomass and size structure for fish, abundance and biomass for benthic invertebrates and litter) will be used in the next GES assessment for the MSFD. They have been banked in dedicated Ifremer databases (Harmonie - SIH, Quadrige).
