Objective

The objective of the survey `Fish Acoustics Around Fernando de Noronha 3' (FAROFA 3) was to characterize the 3D spatial distribution of organisms around the oceanic archipelago of Fernando de Noronha in Northeast Brazil.  For that purpose, we combined active acoustics (echosounder Simrad EK80 at 70 and 200 kHz) and optical methods (towed video, stereo video system and ROV). The survey was performed onboard the vessel of opportunity `Tubarão tigre' from 09 - 23 April 2019.
