Summary of measurements |
- -Samples of invertebrates (pectinids, trochus, ark clams, oysters) and bottom seawater on dives, along the gradients of anthropization from the coast to the barrier-reef for later analysis of muscles and valves.
-Metabolism (respiration/calcification) measured in benthic chambers on Trochus niloticus and Comptopallium radula to apprehend the day/night variations in their metabolism. -Sensors deployed in order to monitor variations in environmental parameters over 24h (temperature, oxygen, ph, salinity). Two 24h cycles performed (8 incubations for 1 hour per 24h cycle) with 4 to 8 chambers deployed per cycle. -Carbon and oxygen fluxes were measured on empty shells (without animal) for trochus that were significantly colonized by encrusting algae (calcareous algae and other epiphytes), in order to correct the values of their gross respiration. -3 trochus snails were fitted with accelerometers to determine the species' rhythm of activity and movements over 24h.
