Objective

The main goal of BBWAVES 2017 was to study the evolution of the surface wave field and breaking, and the interactions between the wave field and atmosphere-ocean fluxes, as modulated by strong current fronts. Within that framework, specific goals include: Observing the evolution of the wave directional spectra across fronts. Observing the modulation of wind stress across current fronts. Providing in situ comparison for KuROS airborne system; checking that consistency with in situ measurements is not altered by the presence of strong currents.
