Objective Redeploying a hydroacoustic observatory to monitor the seismicity associated with ocean expansion along the three ridges in the Indian Ocean and the deformation of the central Indian basin, as well as the presence and migration of large whales in the Southern Indian Ocean. The observatory will be made up of 8 autonomous hydrophones located on 6 sites, including 1 antenna of 3 hydrophones 10 km apart on one of the sites. The array was deployed in 2009/2010, then redeployed in 2011, 2012, 2013, 2014 and 2015. The objective was to redeploy it again for another year (2016). The related project is OHA-SIS-BIO (hydroacoustic observatory of seismicity and biodiversity in the Indian Ocean).
