Objective

This cruise focused on studying the intermediate levels of the food web in the pelagic ecosystem and determining how they are related to environmental factors. The intermediate trophic levels are zooplankton and micronekton. Micronekton covers all organisms between 2 and 20 cm in length and is made up of small fish, squid and shrimp which tuna feed on.
