| Objective | Seasonal and interannual Subscriptions biodiversity and productivity of groups functional plankton coupled with a physicochemical description of the environment over the entire column of water to the station SPOT (Southwest Pacific). Such audits should enable to monitor and understand changes in phytoplankton communities in the region and bactérioplanctoniques in a context of global change and to better understand the effects of these changes in the functioning of the ecosystem in the Pacific SW area. Focus on the diversity of diazotrophs and their metabolic activities of carbon fixation and nitrogen in the region. It is also to characterize the role of the diazotrophs trophic network by measuring the level of nitrogen and of carbon transferred to the phytoplankton and zooplankton and determine the origin Control factors of development. The related project is GOPS (South Pacific integrated Observatory for environment and terrestrial and marine biodiversity). |
