Objective The objectives of these studies are based on two approaches for different time scales: 1) On the Quaternary scale, this means characterizing the fluviatile incision which can still be observed in the Bay of Brest's morphology and its infilling in order to determine the different phases of marine fluctuation in a tectonically passive context. 2) On the secular, decadal and seasonal scale, a high resolution update of the sedimentary coverage makes it possible to characterize the impact of the various hydrodynamic agents acting in the Bay of Brest (river, waves and tides) and the fate of sediments charried on the one hand by rivers and on the other by the Atlantic Ocean.
