Objective | The objectives of the cruise were to: (1) have an East-West continuum on the implementation of the region's current sedimentary model, by connecting the Lannion and Morlaix sedimentary basins, previously analyzed since 2005; (2) studying the formation of sedimentary bodies attached to the shelf in the end of Holocene transgression context, with respect to the deposition of sediments recorded in these two basins; (3) understand the role played by this rocky barrier in current transverse sediment exchanges and the connection between the large inner sandy bodies marking either side of the archipelago; (4) and finally to have detailed knowledge about the structure of habitats, the prerequisite for planning the implementation, in the OBLIC framework, of inventorying, monitoring and research operations on biodiversity of benthic communities of the surrounding rocky and dune habitats in this sector. The related projects are Systems and sedimentary evolution (GM Ifremer) and SBR's observatory of coastal and littoral biodiversity (OBLIC). |
