Objective Biogeochemical research on the estuarine ecosystem of the Gironde River are societally motivated by the persistence of polymetallic which impacts the true economic potential of shellfish farming. The aim of this cruise is to provide reliable information about the possibility of developing shellfish farming in the Gironde in the context of decreasing metallic pollution. To do so, is is necessary to rank the processes determining the specification and mobility of metals by studying the possible interactions between dissolved, colloidal and particulate metals while completely including the plankton compartment and filter-feeder organisms (oysters).
