Objective

The mission's objectives were to: Draw up an inventory of top predator fish of New Caledonia and complement ichthyological databases; Assess the impact of human activities on predators and any modification in behaviour; Assess the "top-down" and "bottom-up" regulations of the food web along a gradient of anthropization; Assess how effective New Caledonia's Marine Protected Areas are in protecting predators. This falls under the PRISTINE project.
