Objective This is part of the general international PIRATA programme. Since it is the 23rd French cruise of this type, it is called PIRATA-FR23. The objectives of the cruise were: to replace 5 Pirata buoys located in the Gulf of Guinea and deploy a sixth buoy at 6S-8E, perform 4 hydrological legs with CTD-O2/LADCP, deploy 3 drifting SVPBS buoys and 6 Arvor profiling floats (CORIOLIS), and take seawater samples to analyze S, O2, C13, nutrients and pigments.
