Objectif Les objectifs scientifiques de cette campagne étaient d'obtenir des séquences sédimentaires longues à partir de zones à fort et moyen taux d'accumulation dans des zones clés par rapport aux apports détritiques en mer et aux principales masses d'eaux océaniques pour reconstituer les variations passées de la mousson sud-est asiatique et de la circulation océanique intermédiaire et profonde en Mer de Chine du Sud. Le projet de rattachement est LIA MONOCL (International Associated Laboratory « Monsoon and Oceanic Circulation »).
