Objectif

Les objectifs étaient de dresser l'inventaire des coraux, gorgones et algues et de constituer des collections de spécimens (références) et collections de tissus associés pour des analyses ADN dans le but d'obtenir la meilleure représentation possible de la biodiversité marine à l'échelle de la NC, de conforter les phylogénies en cours et d'établir les affinités faunistiques et floristiques avec les régions environnantes pour lesquelles nous avons des données comparables.

Le projet de rattachement est "Analyse de la biodiversité des écosystèmes coralliens de Nouvelle-Calédonie".
