| Objective | The CASLANG 2012 cruise, part of the State-region plan contract (CPER Bretagne for the development of software for design and numerical simulation of fishing gear) aimed to supplement knowledge and observations made on the practice of Nephrop pot fishing in the Bay of Biscay. Trials conducted in the past aboard professional fishing vessels - particularly those of ITIS (project for innovative instrumentation & technology to serve sustainable development of the Fisheries sector) and PRESPO (Interreg 'Atlantic Arc' project for knowledge and development of responsible small-scale fisheries) have showed the need to better understand the keys to this fishery. |
